Reflections
Lisette ModelLisette Model created a series of images using the reflection in shop windows. Taking both sides of the reflection she is capturing two sides of life in one still. She would take photographs of the shop windows down 5th avenue in New York. The reflection creates a collage like feeling of the image.

Contrast of the two artists work
These are two pieces by the two photographers. We can see the two styles that the photographers worked in. They both used reflections in their work and at surface level they looked very similar. In the Friedlander image we can see the reflection more clearly.
Both images are very crowded. In the left one there are people filling up the view behind the reflection. And the right one is filled with dresses and things from the shop.

For these pictures I have decided to diverge off the route of the artists that we looked at. They would go with shop window reflections, I started by doing this, then I decided to experiment with different textures and and surfaces. There are silver plated plastics, lights, granite, train windows, picture frames. This gave a different level to the pictures as they had two layers of focus in them.
